3-Day Etosha Safari
   
DAY 1
The adventure starts early in the morning at the Mousebird Backpackers Lodge in Tsumeb from where we take the tar road to Etosha National Park. On the short way to Namutoni, one of the three restcamps in the park, we are likely to see our first springboks, ostrich or even elephants.

We continue game-driving towards the west to have lunch at Halai, where we have the opportunity to cool down and relax around the swimming pool. We will then get back on the road for an afternoon game drive before we put up camp in Okaukuejo.After a hot shower and a rich dinner prepared on the fire we spend the evening around the campfire or share a drink with the animals at the floodlit waterhole.

DAY 2
Today we get up early again to be out in the Park by sunrise.
After the morning game drive we have time for a late breakfast and to pack all the equipment before it gets too hot. We follow the route along the pan’s edge, crossing through the park in a west-easterly direction to spend the night at Namutoni Restcamp and watch the animals at the camp’s waterhole.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
DAY 3
To explore the area around Namutoni we go on a long morning drive, after which you can visit Fort Namutoni to learn about the interesting history of this former cattle-post.The rest of the day is spent out in the park again, game-driving until we have to leave Etosha National Park. We arrive back at Mousebird Backpackers Lodge in Tsumeb before it gets dark.

We can easily arrange a shuttle service from Windhoek and there is a night-train from Walvis Bay, Swakopmund and Windhoek three times a week.
